Curious What Life at Nomadico Feels Like?
Here’s a little glimpse of the vibes, events, and community magic happening at our homes that are open in the coming months — from rooftop BBQs in Medellín to cheese fondues in the Swiss Alps (with plenty of laughs in between).
Meet the Heart of Our Homes — The Community Managers of Nomadico
At Nomadico, our homes aren’t just about beautiful spaces and fast WiFi (though, we’ve got those too). The real magic comes from the people who bring everyone together — our incredible community managers.
They’re the friendly faces making sure you feel at home from day one. Whether it’s sharing a meal, organizing a hike, or just having a good laugh together, they’re there to help create the kind of connections that turn strangers into friends.
We asked some of our community managers a few simple questions about how they bring the Nomadico vibe to life. Their answers? Too good not to share exactly as they are. 💙
Scroll down, meet the crew, and catch a glimpse of what makes each Nomadico home special.
Jonne - Will be in Medellin (Colombia) in Spring/Summer

Which event or activity has given you the most fun memories?
Definitely our weekly family dinners. Every single one is different, but they always bring people together in the most natural way. Whether we’re cooking together, sharing stories over the table, or laughing about cultural quirks, those evenings are full of good vibes and unforgettable connections.
What’s your go-to move to break the ice in a new group?
I love reading the room and tuning in to what people need. I usually start by asking curious questions to get to know someone better, and from there, I see if I can connect them with others who share similar interests. My goal is to help people bond over something they’re passionate about and create moments they’ll want to share with the rest of the group.
Which event do you think every new guest must experience at least once?
Our collaboration with a local non-profit! We organize outings where guests can explore authentic parts of Medellín while supporting a meaningful cause. It’s the perfect mix of local culture, social impact, and real connection with the city.
How do you make people feel at home at Nomadico?
I always ask new guests what their favorite food is — it’s such a personal and fun way to connect. Sometimes we cook it together during our family dinners, or I find a great local spot where we can try it. I also plan activities around their hobbies or passions, so they feel seen and included from the start.
Abdo - Will be in Taghazout (Morocco)

Which event or activity has given you the most fun memories?
Definitely the Imssouane trips! They’re always full of great energy and good vibes. Each time it’s a new mix of people, and the ride is filled with music and interesting conversations. Then we get to surf together—it's so fun to be out in the water, cheering each other on and helping one another catch waves. Always a day to remember!
Which event do you think every new guest must experience at least once?
The Tajine Hike. Everyone enjoys it. We walk together, eat good food, and have a good time. It’s a nice way to connect with others.
How do you make people feel at home at Nomadico?
I like to cook with people or share food or tea. It helps everyone feel welcome and at home.
Faith - Will be in Bansko (Bulgaria) in July

What’s your go-to move to break the ice in a new group?
At Nomadico, we all have at least one thing in common - a passion to explore the world. Our travel stories bond us, so it’s usually my go-to for engaging people into conversations. Also, instead of being nervous about new people, I choose to get excited because I know nothing about them and get to learn. When in doubt, just ask everyone to do a cartwheel.
Which event or activity has given you the most fun memories?
Family dinners are always a highlight, no matter the community. There’s something about getting everyone together around the table that just brings a smile to my face every time. Slipping in a cow pie on a hike in Tarifa definitely takes second place.
How do you make people feel at home at Nomadico?
Home is a place you feel welcome and comforted, but that can mean something different for everyone. Each community and group of people is so different. Being adaptable to the location and the guests can help the community come together. I try to notice what people need or advocate for ideas when guests are passionate about something to keep it a warm and supportive environment.
Tsvetelina - Will be in the Swiss Alps

Which event or activity has given you the most fun memories?
The event that has given me the most fun memories is playing games together with the community, especially the mafia style game one of our colivers created. Whenever we play, everyone gets excited, it easily breaks ice for new people and it helps to make everyone feel closer to each other.
What’s your go-to move to break the ice in a new group?
My go-to move for breaking the ice is asking a common topic to the new people to get to know them better and basic things they like. Afterwards I use this information to connect people with similarities.
Music also connects people in our community, whether by singing, dancing, playing an instrument or just listening to it and sharing songs between each other, it's always present and sets the mood!
Which event do you think every new guest must experience at least once?
Community dinners are an event that every coliver should experience. Food brings people together and cooking and eating together makes up for great mood and conversations
How do you make people feel at home at Nomadico?
I love organizing barbecue evenings. It's easy to involve everyone, as different people would have different tasks to ensure the events happen (prepping a certain meal, shopping, cutting wood and lighting up the fire, etc.). And the fire itself, especially at night, creates an amazing intimate atmosphere. The best conversations and storytelling moments happen then, it lets people open up on a deeper lever, making us feel closer together.
Daria - Will be in Ericeira (Portugal) in April & May

Which event or activity has given you the most fun memories?
I think the New Year/ Christmas dinners. We cooked many meals, did a few traditions from different countries, played charades—it was very warm, cozy, and felt like home.
What’s your go-to move to break the ice in a new group?
The best is common activities—something that brings everyone together, like cooking, a trip to a nearby city, a hike, or watching the sunset - that one never fails!
Which event do you think every new guest must experience at least once?
I’d say the family dinner. It helps everyone get to know each other better and creates a friendly, natural, and comfortable atmosphere for all.
How do you make people feel at home at Nomadico?
I will be doing this by welcoming, making them feel like part of the community, always staying in touch, checking in to make sure they’re okay and comfortable, and asking for feedback.
Mindy - Will be in Hoi An (Vietnam) in April & May

Which event or activity has given you the most fun memories?
Our weekend coconut boat adventure through the water palm forests created some of our most cherished memories. Watching digital nomads from different countries attempting to paddle traditional round basket boats led to countless laughs and unexpected swimming sessions!
The day always ends with a sunset in a cafe at a hidden spot where we connect on a deeper level, sharing stories and creating bonds that extend well beyond our coliving stay.
What's your go-to move to break the ice in a new group?
Our favorite way to welcome new nomads is through our community lunches. We invite everyone to join for a casual meal at a local Vietnamese restaurant near our coliving space. There's something magical about sharing food that breaks down barriers instantly - whether it's helping each other navigate the menu, passing dishes around family-style, or bonding over discovering new flavors together.
These lunches create a relaxed environment where conversations flow naturally beyond the typical "where are you from" questions. We've found that sharing a meal removes the pressure of formal networking while creating genuine connections that often evolve into friendships, collaborations, and even travel buddies exploring Vietnam together.
Which event do you think every new guest must experience at least once?
Our weekend nature trips are absolutely essential for every nomad who stays with us. We organize excursions to stunning spots around Hoi An that most tourists never discover - from hidden waterfalls and secluded beaches to breathtaking mountain trails. These adventures allow everyone to disconnect from screens and reconnect with both nature and each other.
Sharing these experiences create deep bonds in just a single day. We've watched countless friendships form while kayaking through water coconut forests or staying overnight in the old capital city Hue. Plus, these trips showcase Vietnam's incredible natural beauty beyond the Ancient Town, giving our guests a more complete understanding of what makes this region so special. The shared memories and inside jokes from these adventures often become the highlight of everyone's stay.
Ready to Join the Adventure?
Can you picture yourself dancing with us in the kitchen, catching a sunrise surf, or hiking through the mountains of Bulgaria? The best part of exploring new places is sharing the experience together.
See you out there 🫶
