COMMUNITY | COLIVING PIPA

Nature · Balanced · Beach

Mornings begin with breakfast in the shared kitchen, an early workout, and coffee, easing into the day. Productivity naturally blends with beach life, as people move between coworking, açaí breaks with the community, yoga classes at local studios, and swims in the ocean. Pipa is also known as one of the best places to surf and swim alongside dolphins, adding a little extra magic to everyday beach life.

Evenings draw everyone together at Pipa’s sunset spots, where live music and spontaneous plans for dinners, beach gatherings, or sunset sessions keep the social energy flowing. Weekends invite coastal day trips, sports such as surfing, beach tennis, and kitesurfing, and exploring the village and its beaches, all within easy walking distance. From hosts to guests and our community manager, everyone helps co-create a warm, grounded rhythm.

Pipa

Pipa is a beach town on Brazil’s northeast coast, surrounded by cliffs, tropical forest, warm ocean water, and beaches you can reach on foot. Temperatures stay around 25 to 30°C most of the year, so life outdoors is pretty standard here. Surf, beach runs, yoga classes, buggy trips through the dunes, and sunset drinks all easily become part of the routine.

The town has a social energy without feeling too big or overdeveloped. You’ll find surfers, remote workers, Brazilian travelers, locals, and a growing digital nomad crowd all mixing together naturally. There’s live music most nights, plenty of cafés to work from, and enough going on to keep things interesting without the chaos of a city. Many people arrive planning a short stay… then start extending it.

Pipa opening month - August

This opening month is an invitation to co-create Nomadico Pipa with us: meet the local hosts, discover the story behind the property, and experience the rhythms that shape life in Pipa from day one.

Two opening events

Hosts Story and Sunset Drinks
An introduction by Gisela to the story behind our partner's home, followed by drinks and snacks together at the most famous Sunset Bar in Pipa as the sun goes down.

Pipa Bossa & Jazz Festival
During August (date to be confirmed), guests can experience the village atmosphere as live jazz, bossa nova, blues, and local artists bring music into Pipa’s streets and public spaces.

Pipa - Our neighbourhood

Our home sits on a reforested hillside in the center of Pipa, surrounded by one of the largest green areas in town. Over the last 35 years, the space has grown from a bare sand dune into a forest hillside filled with native trees, ocean breeze, hidden paths, and chalets tucked into the greenery. It feels connected to nature without feeling isolated.

During the day, the atmosphere is calm, people working from the coworking space, heading to the beach, training, or relaxing in hammocks between calls. By sunset, things shift. Mirante Sunset Bar, located on the property but separate from the chalet area, becomes one of the gathering spots in Pipa. And, even with all that happening, you’re still only a short walk from beaches, cafés, restaurants, and the center of town.

Meet our local partners

Pipa was their favorite holiday escape for years. In 1990, they stopped dreaming and started building a business in the place they loved most. First as a guesthouse, now more focused on nomads and community.

"I stayed at Pipa's home for a month, and being surrounded by jungle and nature almost makes you forget that you’re right in the middle of a lively surf town filled with nomads. Having your own chalet offers plenty of privacy, while the bar provides the perfect setting to connect with others in the evening and enjoy incredible sunsets over the ocean. The views from the bar are easily the best in all of Pipa."

FAQ | Coliving Pipa

How to get to Nomadico?

✈️ By plane

Fly into Natal International Airport (NAT). From there, it’s around a 1h30 drive to Pipa. Most guests either book a transfer or take a taxi directly to Mirante de Pipa. If you need help arranging transport, we can point you in the right direction.

🚌 By bus

You can also take a bus from Natal to Pipa, though schedules are a bit limited and the trip takes longer.

🚗 By car

Navigate to Rua do Mirante, 01 - Praia da Pipa. Pipa’s streets are small and hilly, but once you arrive, most things are within walking distance.

Kitchen & laundry facilities

Guests have access to shared kitchen facilities for cooking at home, plus plenty of cafés and restaurants nearby when you don’t feel like cooking. Laundry services are available locally and can easily be arranged during your stay.

Public transport - do I need to rent a car?

Not really. Most people walk around Pipa or rent a bike, scooter, or motorcycle to explore nearby beaches and towns more easily. Uber and taxis are available too. The streets are small and traffic can get slow, so smaller transport usually works best here.

How to book & pay

You can book directly through Nomadico’s website. Depending on the stay, you’ll either confirm instantly or send a booking request first. Payment happens online with clear steps during checkout.

Is it expensive?

Compared to Europe or the US, Pipa is still relatively affordable. You can keep things budget-friendly with local food spots and simple beach life, or mix in nicer restaurants, bars, tours, and activities depending on your lifestyle.

Coworking - can I take calls & rely on good Wi-Fi?

Yes, the WiFi is reliable for remote work, including video calls. There’s a shared coworking space, but many guests also work from their chalets, balconies, cafés around town, or even hammocks between meetings. The setup feels more relaxed and home-style than a corporate coworking space.

Nearby shops

You’re close to pretty much everything. Markets, pharmacies, cafés, bakeries, restaurants, gyms, and surf shops are all within a short walk downhill into town. There are also small local markets nearby for everyday essentials.

What to do in the area

Surfing is a big one here, whether you’re experienced or just starting out. There are also cliffside hikes, beach runs, yoga, gyms, beach tennis, ATV tours, buggy rides through the dunes, boat trips, and plenty of spots to watch the sunset. Praia do Amor, Baía dos Golfinhos, and Praia do Madeiro are all worth exploring.

Oh, and Baía dos Golfinhos (25min walk) is the best place to swim alongside with dolphins!

Is it safe?

Yes, Pipa is generally considered safe and very welcoming for travelers. Like anywhere, basic awareness at night is always a good idea, but the town has a relaxed atmosphere and a strong tourism community year-round.

Is there a community manager?

Yes! Our Nomadico community manager helps organize dinners, activities, day trips, coworking sessions, and spontaneous adventures so it’s easy to meet people and settle into life in Pipa.
