WILLIAM'S VILLAGE

A little tropical village of its own. Two-storey Thai-style houses surrounding a pool and lush garden, with an open-air coworking space in a traditional Thai sala. You'll naturally bump into the community throughout the day, whether you're working, cooking or hanging out by the pool.

WORKSPACE  | COLIVING KOH SAMUI

Your office in the tropics

The village runs on Starlink WiFi, with a covered coworking space equipped with ergonomic chairs, individual desks, one standing desk and external monitors (for rent). Every room, studio or apartment has its own work setup with A/C, so you can work privately whenever you need to.

When it's time for a break, take a dip in the pool or grab a coffee at the lobby café (self-service). There are also gyms and laptop-friendly cafés nearby if you want to get moving or change up your workspace.

COMMUNITY | COLIVING KOH SAMUI

Wellness · Coconuts · Island Life

Muay Thai is a big part of the local culture, and whether you're stepping into the ring for the first time or training regularly, it's even more fun with fellow colivers. Cool off with a fresh coconut afterwards, or switch things up with yoga, breathwork, padel and Thai massages. Plenty of ways to stay active, meet locals and connect with the community.

When you're ready to cool off, grab some snorkelling gear and explore the underwater world together, or convince a few housemates to join you for a diving trip. Prefer to stay on dry land? Rent scooters and explore the island, discover hidden beaches and viewpoints, or join a beach clean-up and give a little back to the place you're calling home.

And of course, there's the food. Explore local markets together, try your way through delicious Thai dishes or gather around the table for a meal with the crew. The locals are super friendly, and learning a few Thai words will get you a long way. With so many things to do and people to share them with, it's easy to feel at home on this tropical island.

Koh Samui, Thailand

Tropical beaches, jungle-covered hills, great food and a growing community of remote workers. Koh Samui, also known as Thailand's Coconut Island, has plenty to explore beyond its beaches, with cafés, coworking spaces and everything you need to work comfortably. The island even has its own (very cute) airport, making it easy to get here. Our home is in Lamai, a laid-back beach town with restaurants, cafés and plenty to do nearby.

Beyond the beaches, explore Buddhist temples, hidden waterfalls and jungle viewpoints, or discover the island's history of coconut farming. For a bigger adventure, take a boat trip to Ang Thong National Marine Park, known for its dramatic limestone islands and emerald lagoons.

Temperatures stay around 29–33°C (84–91°F) throughout the year, with January to April typically bringing the sunniest weather. May to September sees occasional tropical showers alongside plenty of sunshine, while October to December is the wettest season, bringing lush green landscapes and fuller waterfalls. You'll also find local celebrations throughout the year, from Songkran in April to Loy Krathong, usually in November.

Lamai, Koh Samui

You'll be living in Lamai, on Koh Samui's southeast coast. It's the calmer side of the island, with fewer tourists and more expats and digital nomads, so the pace is a little slower.

William's Village sits down a small soi (a side street off the main road), which keeps it quiet day and night. The basics are a short walk away: a 24/7 7-Eleven, a supermarket, the local market and a gym. Lamai Beach is about ten minutes on foot.

Beyond that, life here runs on scooters. Most people rent one for around $10 a day, which puts Crystal Bay, the Lamai viewpoint and the rest of the island within easy reach.

Local food is half the fun. Nanatam is a good first introduction to Thai cooking, and Lamai night market makes a great first evening out. The local market down the road is where to try everyday Thai dishes. Toast is the go-to for coffee, and William has a few local breakfast spots close by that are worth the early start.

The locals are friendly and always happy to help.

Meet our local partner

William fell for Lamai the first time he visited, and over the past five years he's made William's Village a place where remote workers and long-stayers settle in, from the coworking space residents built in the old sala to the homemade menu at the café. Now we're opening it up together as a Nomadico coliving, so more nomads can make this quiet corner of Samui their base.

""I loved the area the first time I came around. Lush nature, trees, seas and waterfalls, all on this small island. The food is amazing, and the pace is relaxed while still having a real working culture. And the airport is the cutest in the world! (I love airports)."

FAQ | Coliving Koh Samui

How to get to Nomadico?

Fly into Samui International Airport (USM) and take a taxi straight to William's Village. It's roughly a 25–30 minute drive.

Kitchen & laundry facilities

Yes! There's a shared kitchen in the center of the village that everyone can use. Studios come with a private kitchenette, while apartments have a fully equipped private kitchen.

Laundry is available through a convenient pickup service. Simply leave your laundry bag outside your door before 4 PM, and it will usually be returned the next day. The service costs 60 THB per kg, or 50 THB per kg with a prepaid laundry tab. Pickup is available Monday to Saturday, and laundry is air-dried, so rainy weather may cause delays.

Public transport - do I need to rent a car?

Not really. Most people rent a scooter, which costs about $10 a day. Grab (Southeast Asia's version of Uber) works well, and local buses run around the island, with fares based on how far you go. For weekend trips, a scooter or a private van is easiest.

How to book & pay

  • Book directly through Nomadico’s website.

  • Payment is secure and flexible - we accept credit card, Wise, iDEAL, Apple & Google Pay or bank transfer.

Once booked, you’ll receive a guide with local tips and arrival info.

Is it expensive?

Day-to-day costs are low. A coffee is around ฿60 (about $1.80), a beer ฿40–50 ($1.20–1.60) and a Thai meal ฿50–200 ($1.50–6). Western food costs more, at around ฿250–800 ($7.50–25).

Coworking - can I take calls & rely on good Wi-Fi?

Yes. Every room has its own desk and air conditioning, and there's a covered coworking space on site with screened-off desks for calls. The village is powered by Starlink WiFi

Nearby shops

A 24/7 7-Eleven and a supermarket are about 2 minutes away, the local market about 3 minutes and the nearest gym about 4 minutes.

What to do in the area

Spend afternoons at Lamai Beach or Crystal Bay, visit local cafés like Sol and Toast, and fit in yoga, padel or Muay Thai before work. On days off, take a boat to Ang Thong National Marine Park or go hunting for waterfalls. If you want one big night out, Koh Pha Ngan's Full Moon Party is on the next island over.

Is it safe?

Yes, very safe. In William's five years of hosting guests at the village there hasn't been a single incident, and the previous owner reported the same over twenty years. The lane around the home is quiet day and night.

Is there a community manager?

Yes! Our Nomadico community manager lives on-site. They’ll help you get settled, organize beach days, dinners, and fun adventures with other nomads.
