Welcome to Julio’s Home — a chill spot with deep roots. Julio’s grandparents were among the first to settle in Puerto, working in coffee farming and fishing, and that same love for the land carries through today.
The house has 10 comfy rooms, a rooftop gym, garden hangouts, and a pool perfect for mid-day dips. Peaceful, safe, and full of character - Julio’s Home is made for slow days, surf breaks, and rooftop sunsets.

Close enough to the action, far enough to still hear the birds. From your front door, it’s a short stroll to beaches, cafés, and taco spots... but also just minutes from the city center’s old-school charm and shops where no one's trying to sell you a dreamcatcher.
You’ve got Playa Bacocho nearby for quiet beach walks, free diving, and turtle release moments (yes, it’s as wholesome as it sounds). Playa Carrizalillo is perfect for beginner surf sessions with a side of coconut water. Feeling adventurous? Take a day trip to Chacahua - an Afro-Mexican island community with epic waves and mangrove boat rides that’ll make your phone run out of storage.
Grab your scooter and you’re 10 minutes from La Punta - bars, hip eats, and that familiar “didn’t we meet in Bali?” energy. And when you want to work somewhere new, spots like Pauline Coworking are just around the corner.
Oh - and El Nene, one of the best restaurants in town? That’s just a 10-minute walk. Your future self already has a reservation.
Meet Our Local Partners
Julio and his wife Marlen are the heart behind our home in Puerto Escondido. With deep family roots in the area (his grandparents were among the first to settle here) they’ve poured their love for the land into creating a space that’s welcoming, relaxed, and full of local charm.
You’ll often find them around the house, making sure everything runs smoothly and always ready with a smile (or a surf tip). From day one, they’ll make you feel like part of the family.
