XS Cafe is located in Jardim do Mar, just in front of the main church in Prazeres. It's a pleasant, inviting place serving great pastries, specialty cakes, and excellent specialty coffee. Don’t miss the vegan apple pie. The food is delicious, served quickly, and the coffee is consistently excellent.

If you’re craving some downtime, grab a spot at the natural pools in Porto Moniz or Seixal—perfect for a swim and some sun. For a taste of local life, swing by Taberna da Poncha for a glass of Madeira’s famous drink and some peanuts. If you want to connect with other nomads, check out the coworking spaces in Ponta do Sol or Funchal - great vibes and even better company. Madeira’s got the perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, and community to make your weekend unforgettable.

How to get to Madeira

Madeira is easy to reach, with direct flights from many European cities landing at Funchal Airport. Ferries also connect the island to mainland Portugal if you’re up for a scenic journey. Many nomads continue their adventures to the Azores, Lisbon, or even hop over to Spain or Morocco. If you have extra time, I highly recommend exploring Porto or Lisbon—both cities have a great vibe and are perfect for digital nomads.
