Croatia is one of those places that makes it easy to mix work with adventure. Along the Adriatic coast you’ll find historic towns, turquoise water, and hundreds of islands waiting to be explored. Whether you're based in Split, Dubrovnik, or a smaller coastal town, the Mediterranean lifestyle here is hard to beat.

Many digital nomads come for the scenery and stay for the rhythm of life. Mornings start with strong coffee, afternoons might include a swim in the sea, and weekends often turn into island trips. From Dubrovnik, for example, the Elaphiti Islands are just a short boat ride away. Spending the day hopping between quiet beaches and small island villages is one of those experiences that reminds you why remote work is so great.

Croatia also offers plenty of variety. The Dalmatian coast attracts sunseekers and sailors, while cities like Zagreb bring a more urban European feel with culture, cafés, and nightlife.

Nomadico doesn’t have a coliving open in Croatia yet, but it’s a destination we’re actively exploring. We’re currently looking for local hospitality partners who would like to transform their space into a coliving for digital nomads.

Coworking Croatia

Croatia doesn’t have the biggest coworking scene yet, but remote workers often rely on cafés to get their work done.

In Split, one of the most recommended laptop-friendly cafés is Stow Coffee. It’s known for great specialty coffee and a relaxed environment where bringing your laptop is completely normal.

In Dubrovnik, Urban & Veggie is a favorite among nomads who prefer a calm place to work. The café focuses on plant-based food and snacks, but it’s also a comfortable spot to settle in with your laptop. The staff are used to remote workers and the atmosphere makes it easy to stay productive for a few hours.

Between scenic coastlines, strong coffee culture, and plenty of cafés with sea views, Croatia offers a surprisingly nice setup for remote work - especially if you enjoy a Mediterranean lifestyle.
