Coliving in Rome
Coliving in Rome feels like stepping into a living museum, then realizing people actually live here — work, coffee breaks, grocery runs, late-night gelato, the whole thing. The city is sun-soaked most of the year, full of personality, and so ridiculously beautiful that even your “quick walk to the supermarket” comes with a bonus view of a 2,000-year-old ruin.
Rome is the kind of place where your lunch break turns into Cacio e Pepe at a family trattoria, and your after-work stroll takes you through Trastevere for a negroni at Bar San Calisto. On weekends, you hop on a train to Naples, Capri, or the Amalfi coast and suddenly your remote-work life feels like you hacked adulthood.
But Rome isn’t just romantic scenes and carbs. Living here teaches you balance. You still work, you still do laundry, you still have days where nothing feels magical - and that’s okay. Because in between the to-dos, you’re learning some Italian, meeting locals, discovering tiny cafés, joining random events, and slowly building a life that feels full.
Rome gives you just enough chaos to keep things interesting, and just enough community to make you feel at home. For remote workers, it’s the perfect mix of culture, creativity, and real-life adventure.

Inside

Coworking Rome
Coworking in Rome is all about blending productivity with a little dolce vita. The city has some fantastic spaces where you can actually get work done - without giving up good coffee, good company, or the chance to squeeze in a midday workout or aperitivo.
Start with Ala/34 Coworking (map), a bright, modern space tucked into the leafy area of Valle dei Casali. It feels more like a creative retreat than an office: flooded with natural light, surrounded by pine trees, and decorated with chic gallery-style art. The chairs are next-level comfortable (Vitra fans, rejoice), the staff is unbelievably welcoming, and the community of young professionals makes it easy to connect - and even practice your Italian. There’s an outdoor area, flexible desks, private meeting rooms, a kitchen, and plenty of parking. Bonus: it’s 20 meters from a CrossFit gym, so you can squeeze in a workout between calls.
For something central and cozy, Industrie Fluviali (map) is a great pick. It’s easily accessible by public transit, has a bistro and bar on-site, and offers clean, quiet workstations with fast, reliable Wi-Fi. You’ll find friendly staff, plenty of outlets, and a workspace that’s calm enough for deep focus. It’s a bit pricier than others, but the atmosphere and amenities make it worth considering.
