Coliving in Valencia offers a great blend of coastal charm, cultural depth, and convenience. Basic Spanish is helpful, though English and Valencian (a regional Catalan dialect) are also commonly spoken, especially in tourist areas. Valencia’s Mediterranean climate brings mild winters and hot summers, making it enjoyable year-round. Public transportation is efficient, and the city’s bike-friendly layout makes getting around easy. Don’t miss local highlights like the City of Arts and Sciences, Botanical Gardens, and waterfront cycling paths. And of course, you have to try the paella - it’s a Valencian must! If you’re in Valencia, you’ve got to check out “La Estrecha” - Europe’s narrowest bar! It’s just 107 cm wide, which is barely wider than the door itself. It’s seriously tiny and definitely worth a quick visit for the experience alone.

We worked ourselves from Cowork Up Ruzafa for about 1 to 2 months. It’s a bright, open space with plenty of room to work comfortably, and it naturally attracts a mix of local and international remote workers. Easy place to settle into a routine, get work done, and occasionally chat with the person at the next table if it happens.

A small but very real bonus: lunch. Just a 5-minute walk away is Arrozarse, where Valencian grandmas cook lunch in bulk for locals every day. Great paella, very no-frills. Pro tip: ask for the 50/50 box, half paella, half salad. Same price as one meal, around €6, and more than enough.

You’ll also find laptop-friendly cafes, such as Ubik Café, which combines a relaxed vibe with solid WiFi.
