Upper & Downtown Tamraght

Upper Tamraght

​Perched above the village of Tamraght, Upper Tamraght offers a quieter pace while staying connected to everything you need. Friendly neighbours greet you in the street, children play outside until sunset, and it's not unusual for the local cats and dogs to stop by for a hello. Learn a few words of Darija and you'll quickly feel part of the rhythm of village life.

Local cafés, restaurants, surf schools, and Banana Point are all within walking distance, while the elevated setting rewards you with panoramic ocean views, cooler evenings, and some of the best sunsets around (no car required).

Start the day with a specialty coffee at Hey Yallah (they host fun mini market pop-ups too), settle in for a day of work at Manzili or Amsiln, or catch a surf at Banana Point before ending the day at Le Mirage, watching fishermen and surfers drift by.

 

Fancy some TLC? Unwind with a sunset yoga session or head to Kalananda, a peaceful yoga shala between Tamraght and Aurir offering everything from meditation and singing circles to Ashtanga and Animal Flow classes led by local teachers.

Downtown Tamraght

Downtown Tamraght is where everyday village life unfolds just outside your front door. With two homes just minutes apart, guests move freely between both spaces, creating one welcoming community woven into the warmth of the local Berber neighbourhood.​

Everything is within walking distance, from cafés and local bakeries to surf shops and the beach (where you might just make friends with a camel or two). Some choose Abdel's rooftop coworking space, with its panoramic mountain and sea views, while others prefer to spread out across Louise's cosy, creative spaces.

Fancy a change of scene? There are plenty of alternative spots nearby for the days you want to switch things up like Adam's Café, where you can work from a comfy wooden table on the shady terrace for as long as the mint tea keeps flowing.

Our Nomadico community is based in Tamraght, with Taghazout just a 10-minute drive away. Taghazout is the perfect place to spend an afternoon or evening whenever you're in the mood for a little more buzz. Think beachfront cafés, surf shops, yoga studios, oceanfront restaurants, and plenty of people watching.

This region is home to the friendly Amazigh people, commonly known as the Berbers. Once a quiet fishing village, Taghazout and neighbouring towns like Tamraght have grown increasingly popular with surfers and digital nomads, offering world-class waves and reliable Wi-Fi right at your fingertips. And yet, through it all, the area has held onto what makes it so special: a warm local community and a slower pace of life.

From Agadir Airport:

  • 🚖 Taxi – Direct and convenient; about €30 (day) or €35 (night) from Agadir Airport. Scenic 45-minute drive along the coast.

  • 🚌 Bus from Agadir Airport – Around 1h30–2h total, costing under €2, including transfers.


From Marrakech airport

  • 🚌 Direct bus to Taghazout Bay for €25, around 3h30-4h, with beautiful changing landscapes along the way. We recommend Souk to surf, a great and affordable shuttle service.

Public transport - do I need to rent a car?

  • You can walk most places, or take taxis for short rides.

  • If you want freedom to explore, rent a scooter or a car.
