Coliving & Remote Work Glossary

What is a Coworking Membership?

A coworking membership gives you recurring access to a coworking space — usually billed monthly, weekly, or sometimes even annually. Depending on the plan, it might include a hot desk, dedicated desk, meeting rooms, events, and other perks.

It’s like a gym membership, but for your work life.

Why Does a Coworking Membership Matter for Digital Nomads or Remote Workers?

If you're staying in one place for a while, a coworking membership offers consistency, community, and often better value than day passes. It gives you a stable place to work, meet others, and get into a solid routine — which can be hard to find when you're bouncing between time zones and Airbnbs.

It also unlocks access to events, workshops, and a more integrated community experience.

How Does Nomadico Relate to Coworking Memberships?

When you stay with Nomadico, there’s no need to buy a separate coworking membership — your booking already includes access to a workspace. Most of our homes have a dedicated work area on-site, and in a few locations, we’ve partnered with local coworking spaces to offer guests access for the duration of their stay.

If you’re planning to stay in the area longer than your booking with us, we’re happy to recommend coworking spaces where you can sign up for a membership directly.

Common Misconceptions About Coworking Memberships

“They’re only for locals.”

Not at all — memberships are available to anyone, and many are designed specifically with travelers and nomads in mind.

“It’s too expensive for short-term stays.”

In some places, memberships pay off after just a few visits — and often include perks that day passes don’t.

“You have to commit for months.”

Many coworking spaces now offer flexible membership terms — from weekly plans to rolling month-to-month options.
